ADSW NTBC VERSION FOR BUREAUS - UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS =================================================== 1..Make a copy of all the EXE (application) files that are currently in your ADSW folder on the local hard drive. You may need these later, if the update fails. 2..Go to the www.ntsoftware.com.au website 3..Click on the menu link "Download" 4..On the download page, Select the latest "NTBC for Bureaus" (file name ADSWNTBC.ZIP) 5..Save the zipped file to a new folder 6..If you have not previously downloaded and installed the WMP files, then do so now (file name WMP.ZIP). This file is not password protected. It can be put into a temporary folder and unzipped. You will find several files. Run the BAT file on each NTBC computer. It will attempt to copy some Windows Media Player files to your Windows system folder - so you will need to be logged on as someone with sufficient permission. If you are asked about overwriting Y or N, answer N then press enter. This just needs to be run once on each NTBC computer 7..Use Winzip 10 or later to unzip the ADSWNTBC.ZIP files. Unzip into the ADSW folder on your local hard drive. Overwrite existing files. Note that the unzip provided in Windows XP, will not work because it cannot unzip files protected by 128bit encrypt- ion used in Winzip. So you must use Winzip 10 or later, (the evaluation version is fine). The unzip password must be obtained from NT Software 8..If running NTBC on a server and several workstations, you will need to update the files on all computers 9..Test the NTBC system using several of the zipped files you have recently received from your alarm monitoring centre. The order of import does not matter, and any duplicates are skipped. Just so long as you see the data being imported and no error messages are displayed.
